We are extremely shocked and saddened of hearing the news that Gary has left this earth. Gary was one of the nicest people that you could meet. Always quick with a smile, a joke or a story. Was a friend to many.
Our sincere condolences goes out to Cookie, Gary’s family and to all that had the pleasure of knowing him. You will be missed Cooter!
What an interesting spring. Due to Covid-19, the Spring Flood Run was cancelled.
The raffle for the 2020 Indian FTR 1200 was still on though. The State of Minnesota allowed us to move the date of the raffle to May 30th. We held the drawing and the winner was Ryan Sheler.
The day of the actual Flood Run is when we sell the vast majority of the tickets and with it being cancelled, we were really worried that we would even sell 100 tickets. Well we are extremely proud of the community because we crushed that.
IARG MN is extremely happy to announce that we sold 387 tickets and raised $7,740.00 and 100% of this amount is being donated to the charity that this group’s membership picked – Soldier’s 6.
The Polaris Foundation donated the 2020 Indian FTR 1200 and IARG MN covered all of the ticket printing costs which means that there is no overhead allowing all of the proceeds to go to Soldier’s 6.
We would like to thank organizations:
* The Polaris Foundation and Indian Motorcycle for donating the motorcycle
* The Flood Run for all of the support and promotion of this raffle
* Simply Street Bikes for being a location for people to purchase tickets
* Indian Motorcycle of Lakeville (Motoprimo) for both being a location for people to purchase tickets and also allowing us to hold the drawing in your fantastic facility.
* To each and everyone who purchased tickets knowing that the money would be going to a great charity in Soldier’s 6
We will be holding another raffle in this fall in conjunction with the 2020 Fall Flood Run. We will be raffling off another 2020 Indian FTR 1200. Can’t wait to see everyone there!
As a reminder, you can always make a direct donation to Soldier’s 6 by visiting their website – www.soldiers6.com
Due to the real world events of Covid-19, the cancelling of the Spring Flood Run, Minnesota and Wisconsin closing bars and restaurants until at least May 4th, the drawing for the Indian FTR that was supposed to happen on April 18th has been rescheduled to May 30th at 1pm.
This drawing will be held at Indian Motorcycle of Lakeville (Motoprimo).
The majority of the tickets are normally sold during the actual flood run. This year that will not happen so your odds look a lot better. Raffle tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at both Simply Street Bikes in Eden Prairie and at Indian Motorcycle of Lakeville.
This 2020 Indian FTR was graciously donated by Polaris and 100% of the proceeds goes directly to the Minnesota based charity Soldier’s 6 (www.soldiers6.com). Soldier’s 6 acquires and trains service dogs for Veterans, Police, Fire and EMS personal that desperately need them.
Thank you everyone for your continued support and we can’t wait to get riding again once the world calms down.
Winter is over and it is time to clean up those bikes and get out to support the community again. The 2020 Spring Flood Run is coming up fast and we would like for you to have all the up to date information as to what we are doing this year to help out.
Each spring and fall, IARGMN now has the privilege of choosing which charity the proceeds from the Flood Run Raffle are donated to. For the year of 2020 (both spring and fall Flood Runs), we have chosen Soldier’s 6. Soldier’s 6 acquires, fosters, trains and then donates service dogs to veterans, police, EMT, and firefighters that are in need of them. Soldier’s 6 is a local Minnesota 501c3 charity. A happy Dian Mullis’s raffle ticket number 599 was drawn as the winner of the 2019 Indian FTR 1200.
IARGMN is proud to announce that the raffle raised $5,800.00 and 100% of that will go directly to Soldier’s 6. Soldier’s 6 is a Minnesota 501c3 charity that provides service dogs to military, police and fire personnel that are in need of one. Each dog costs between $9,000-$12,000 to raise and train. Because of this donation, Soldier’s 6 is able to provide another service dog to a deserving individual.
IARGMN would like to thank Indian Motorcycle for donating this 2019 FTR 1200. Extremely generous of Indian Motorcycle to do this. We would also like to thank Bison Thunder Motorcycle for transporting this beauty of a machine to and from The Beach Bar the day of the Flood Run and for also completing all of the paperwork necessary for Dian to take possession of this motorcycle.
Finally, we would like to thank both Dana Anderson and Karen Umphress for their dedication and hard work and continuing effort in keeping The Flood Run the premiere charity run in the Midwest!
What an absolutely gorgeous day! April 20, 2019 was the Spring Flood run and a 70° in April brought out thousands of bikes! Riders were excited to start this years motorcycle season.

Members of IARG MN were also instrumental in helping with volunteer positions at both The Beach Bar and the Nauti Hawg.
